Fellowship with Atlantic Gospel Chapel

When a person trusts in Jesus Christ as the Savior who died for their sins, immediately a number of things are true of that person. One of the most important is that a believer becomes a member of the family of God, a part of the Church of Jesus Christ, to which all believers belong. This Church is not a human organization or institution, but a spiritual and God-given organism. The New Testament also speaks of local congregations, individual churches composed of believers in the Lord Jesus. In fact, the majority of instructions in Scripture are directed to just such assemblies where Christians enjoy fellowship and worship, are instructed in God’s Word, and use their spiritual gifts to serve the Lord. One evidence of salvation is that we desire a fellowship with other Christians and commit ourselves to them in love and service (1 John 3:14-18). The word of God knows nothing of independent Christians, unaffiliated with a local body of believers. We at Atlantic Gospel Chapel recognize that we have an eternal relationship with all true Christians. We also recognize the Biblical command to commit ourselves to a specific group of Christians (Hebrews 10:24-25), and to accept the responsibilities involved in this. If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savoir and desire to live a consistent life for His glory, it would be our privilege to welcome you into our fellowship. Please arrange a meeting with one or the elders, and they will be delighted to meet with you.
